The Consumer Protection Branch is a regulatory agency that investigates consumer complaints, answers consumer inquiries, provides advice and direction to the public on how to resolve their complaint, educates consumers and businesses on their rights and responsibilities, and conducts compliance audits of licensees.

The Consumer Protection Branch of Saskatchewan Justice provides information to consumers on how to protect themselves within the marketplace. The Consumer Protection branch provides information to businesses about licensing motor dealers, direct sellers, collection agents, charitable fundraising businesses, credit reporting agencies, commercial cemetaries, film and video retailers and exhibitors, and auctioneers.

The Consumer Protection Act is a consolidation of Saskatchewan consumer protection legislation which makes it an offence for a business to engage in an unfair business practice and sets out some remedies to encourage consumers and businesses to resolve their own disputes.
