Saskatchewan is internationally recognized for some of the best freshwater angling and hunting in the world. You can help to keep it that way by reporting poachers through the toll free Turn in Poachers (TIP) line at 1-800-667-7561 - 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

All calls are confidential; you do not have to give your name or number. While e-mail is not totally secure, it will be treated as confidential once it has been received.

Call the Turn in Poachers line or your local conservation officer to report:

  • trafficking in wildlife
  • fish being caught in closed spawning areas, or with illegal nets, fish traps or snares
  • wasting game
  • Buring copper wire
  • unauthorized removal of aquatic plants or beach construction that could destroy fisheries habitat

Large overlimit of Upland Birds

  • hunting in closed areas
  • fish being sold by commercial fisherman without valid licences
  • dumping of toxic materials on land
  • hunting at night with lights
  • any illegal or unsafe hunting or fishing practices
  • illegal forest harvesting
  • dumping tires

Information that you can provide officers include:

  • date/time/location of the offence
  • whether it is ongoing or not
  • description of the violation
  • description of the violators
  • description of the vehicle
  • licence plate of suspect vehicle/boat
