The mandate
of the Fire and Life Safety section of the Office of the Fire Commissioner
is to educate and to offer current information on fire and hazard
awareness to both the general public and to fire fighters.
These objectives
are achieved by developing fire and life safety programs that are
based on trends that are identified through our
Statistical
Section.
Nero
and Ashcan, Learn Not to
BurnŽ, Fire Prevention Week
and fire safety education pamphlets are only some of the tools used
by the Office to deliver fire and life safety to the citizens of
Manitoba.
We continue
to strive to ensure the Manitoba Fire Service is appropriately equipped,
organized and trained to effectively deal with all likely emergencies.
