Our objectives are:

• To promote the equal participation of women in society by identify the needs and concerns of Manitoba women, raising awareness of women’s issues and by providing strategic advice to the Government of Manitoba to ensure these needs and concerns are integrated into public policy, legislation and programs.
• To foster dialogue and partnerships with community organizations and government departments to promote gender equality.
• To provide research and support for government policy and program development related to such issues as economic security, women’s health, violence against women and issues affecting Aboriginal women.
• To promote a wider use of gender-diversity analysis in government policy and program development.
• To more effectively and efficiently meet the needs of women in Manitoba.
