About the Financial Management Board Secretariat (FMBS)
A Financial Management Board Secretariat is established under the direction of the Chair of the Financial Management Board. The Financial Management Board Secretariat is the central agency that supports the Minister of Finance in the role as Chair of the Financial Management Board and associated responsibilities.
FMBS is responsible for coordinating and promoting the efficient use of the Government’s financial and information resources. The Directorate is responsible for the overall leadership of key functions related to government business planning, information management, and program/service evaluation. It is directly involved in support more government priorities including sustainable resource development self-government development, as well as, program and service improvement.
