Interpertive Events - What's coming up in Manitoba's Provincial Parks
 

Any trip to Manitoba's provincial parks can be a highlight of your spring, summer or fall but the following weekends offer a variety of special events. Mark your calendar now:


June 7 - 8, 2008 - Family Fishing Weekend
Bring the family out for a weekend of fishing.  Fishing licences are not required on this weekend.  Refer to the Manitoba Fishing Guide for more details.  *Park entry is complimentary on this weekend.
 
July 1, 2008 - Canada Day
Check parks offices and bulletin boards for special Canada Day programs or celebrations.

July 10 - 13, 2008 - Winnipeg Folk Festival
Canada's greatest folk and roots music festival takes place at Birds Hill Provincial Park.

July 19, 2008 - Canada's Parks Day
Celebrations in Manitoba's parks offer a wide variety of family-oriented activities including: Honorary Natural Resource Officer and interpretive events.  *Park entry is complimentary on this weekend.

August 1 - 4, 2008 - August Long Weekend

August 29 - September 1, 2008 - Labour Day Weekend
*Take advantage of another complimentary park entry on this weekend.

*Park entry is free beginning Friday through to Sunday at midnight (until Monday night on the Labour Day Weekend)   All other times a Park Vehicle Permit is required.
