Passenger Protect program now in effect

The Passenger Protect program is an aviation security initiative designed to keep people who may pose an immediate threat from boarding a flight. Adding another layer of security to our aviation system to help address potential threats, it includes four key elements:

• Identity Screening Regulations
• Specified-persons List
• Reconsideration and Appeals
• Privacy and Human Rights

While this made-in-Canada program enhances security and respects the needs and realities of the aviation industry, it also ensures the privacy and human rights of Canadians are protected.
