Ordering your personalized plate

Application forms are available at all local issuing offices, and in downloadable PDF format from this website (in the menu on your right).

You are allowed to choose up to five selections of character combinations in order of preference. Refer to "Guidelines for selecting your slogan".

A completed application form and a $150.00 application fee (plus applicable service fees and GST) should be returned to your local issuing office. Forms cannot be faxed or emailed, and must be delivered in person.

Lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed licence plates can be replaced for a $25.00 fee (plus applicable service fees and GST).

All applications for personalized licence plates are processed by the Road Licensing and Safety Division on a first come, first serve basis. All applications are reviewed to ensure none of the selections are already in use or are unacceptable.

A full refund is issued if your selection is unavailable or is ruled unacceptable.

You can also purchase a personalized licence plate as a gift for a friend or relative. You must complete an application form and pay the application fees.

Plates are ordered by the Road Licensing and Safety Division and distributed to local issuing offices. Any plates not claimed within three months are returned to the Road Licensing and Safety Division and destroyed.
