DAVID J. JOHNSTONE

David J. Johnstone is a native New Brunswicker and graduate of UNB in Civil Engineering.

A long-term employee of the N.B. Department of Transportation, Mr. Johnstone was appointed to a number of positions during his career, including District Transportation Engineer, Director of Technical Services, Executive Director of Operations, and Assistant Deputy Minister and Chief Highway Engineer.  He was appointed Deputy Minister of the Department on November 1, 1998.

Mr. Johnstone also serves as President of the New Brunswick Highway Corporation.  He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of New Brunswick, Past President of the Transportation Association of Canada and a past Chair of the Council of Deputy Ministers Responsible for Transportation and Highway Safety
