| Use of highway right of way by utilities | |
| Eligibility: | |
| A public utility may apply for a highway usage permit by submitting an application to the Minister, as well as any other documentation the Department may request. | |
| Description: | |
| For right of way usage by the utility companies (NB Power, Aliant, Rogers). Rate determined in written agreement between the department and utility company. | |
 Fees: (Unless otherwise specified, the harmonized sales tax (HST) is NOT included in the Fees.) |

| Collector or local highway (per km) | 37.50 | |
| Level I or II highway - for cables above or underground after January 1, 1997 (per km) | 2,500.00 | |
| Level I or II highway - for underground cables after January 1, 1997 (per km) | 250.00 | |
