Saskatchewan Highways and Infrastructure has implemented a successful pilot program that allows for 24-hour surveillance of high-traffic provincial highways during the winter months. A total of $29.8 million worth of highway construction projects have been released as part of Phase 2 of Saskatchewan Highways and Infrastructure's 2007-08 Tender Release. This follows the Phase 1 Tender Release in December, 2007 which included $63.3 million worth of projects, for a total of $93.1 million worth of projects up for bid to the road-building industry.
