Social and Cultural Life of Cities covers urban politics and planning, local governance, scientific approaches, practical actions, as well as innovative solutions to improve the social and cultural life of cities and to foster the many linkages that arts and culture have to social and community life. It focuses on: creativity development and the perceived value of arts to the community; barriers to and factors for cultural participation; artistic dynamics and intercultural communication at a local level that bring people together and create interactive social zones.
