SERT Centre holds First DND Fire Fighting Graduation Ceremony

MI Launches ROV Program for High School Graduates
The Marine Institute continues to expand career options for high school graduates with the addition of a new Technician Diploma in Remotely Operated Vehicles this fall. This two year program is designed specifically for high school graduates who want a career that combines engineering, technology, computer and science skills in an oceans environment.

Water Analysis Focus of MI Workshop
The Marine Institute is proud to host a Jar Tester Workshop on Wednesday, May 21st, 2008 at 9:00-5:00 pm in Hampton Hall. This workshop will be of interest to laboratory technologists, water treatment plant operators, water chemists, environmental practitioners and engineers. Jar testers are employed in water treatment and wastewater treatment analysis to determine the correct coagulant and/or polymer dosage required to properly flocculate and clarify water. Anyone involved in the use of coagulants for water and wastewater treatment will find this workshop useful. The morning session of the workshop is free for students .
