The Education Committee is one of the many committees which make up the Atlantic Provinces Council on the Sciences , or APICS.   APICS is a non-profit, volunteer organization composed of professional scientists and scientific institutions in Atlantic Canada. Its goal is the advancement of science through education and public awareness and to promote scientific literacy, education, and research throughout the region.
