Mouseland

Tommy Douglas (1904-1986) was one of the most influential early leaders of the CCF and the NDP. He led the CCF to it's first provincial government in Saskatchewan from 1944 to 1961. Often hailed as the "Father of Medicare", his progressive programs would later serve as models for similar federal legislation. In 1961, Douglas became the first leader of the NDP. Here is the text of one of his most famous stories, Mouseland.
