Memorial University Club

Welcome to our home page.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

The Memorial University Club has suspended normal operations as of  Thursday, November 24th, 2005. This means that the Club will not be open for breakfast, lunch, coffee etc. We will, however, honour prior commitments and cater a number of special functions which have already been booked.

An Annual General Meeting of the Club has been scheduled for January 18, 2006.

The club operates from 8.00 a.m. - 2.00 p.m. daily on the fifth floor of the Arts Annex with a breathtaking view across the city to Signal Hill and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. It is fully independent, with its own staff and every effort will be made to serve the needs of members (e.g. vegetarian dishes available.) Our aim is to provide a place where members of the university community can meet in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Towards this goal we now offer breakfasts, morning coffee and lunches on a regular basis, and various specials. The club's facilities are also available for University Departments' special functions and members' private functions (phone 737-8328).

Membership is open to staff, faculty, alumni, alumnae, retirees and university visitors and, members or not, you will find our prices very competitive. Members receive a 20% discount on most purchases; if you eat with us regularly your membership fee soon pays for itself. You can download forms for new memberships and renewals from this web-site.

Join your colleagues for lunch, and see how much they are enjoying one another's company.

The Club's FAMOUS Fish and Chips will be on the menu (almost) every Friday. Come early and avoid disappointment.

We hope that members and their friends will take every opportunity to support the club.
