Memorial tuition fees are among the lowest in Canada.

For an overview of tuition fees, consult this chart. Fees may vary from one faculty or school to another. Therefore, you should consult the latest fees posted each year in the university calendar.

Similarly, the Marine Institute has its own fee schedule, which is also available online.

Scholarships

Every year, high school students throughout Newfoundland and Labrador receive thousands of dollars in entrance scholarships, based on outstanding academic achievements.

For complete details, ask your guidance counselor or principal, or contact our Scholarship Office. Entrance scholarships are also available to students from other provinces.

Once students are enrolled at Memorial, they may apply for a variety scholarships. For more information, consult the Scholarships section of the Student Affairs and Services site.

Student aid

Government loans, and sometimes grants, are available to Canadian students. Student aid programs are offered across the country, so you should contact the office in your home province for details.

Working on-campus

Many students help finance their education through part-time jobs. Memorial has won several awards for programs aimed at giving students work opportunities. Our career experience program (MUCEP), for instance, offers about 2,000 on-campus jobs.

To explore these job opportunities, visit the Centre for Career Development at the St. John’s campus, the Career Planning Centre in Corner Brook or the Placement Office at Marine Institute early each semester. And while you're there, brush up on your résumé writing and your interview skills.

The Student Innovation Fund provides an opportunity to work collaboratively with students in developing student initiated projects that enhance the quality of life at Memorial University of Newfoundland.
