Liberals release TV campaign ads in both official languages

OTTAWA – The Liberal Party of Canada today released its first series of campaign English and French television advertisements.

The English ads show Liberal Leader Stéphane Dion as the only leadership contender with a real, workable plan for the environment and the economy, one that:
  • moves our country forward to today’s green economy and away from the old polluting economy;

  • puts a price on carbon so polluters will pay; and

  • will have every dollar raised from carbon pollution go back into the pockets of Canadians through income tax cuts.
In the French ads, three key themes – cuts to arts and culture, Canada’s tarnished reputation on the world stage and the do-nothing approach to the economy – will demonstrate how Prime Minister Stephen Harper does not share the core values of Quebecers.
