Chuck Strahl rallies the Conservative crowd
MISSION - An enthusiastic crowd braved the inclement weather on Saturday to cheer on Conservative MPs Randy Kamp (Pitt Meadows—Maple Ridge—Mission), Ed Fast (Abbotsford), Mark Warawa (Langley) and Minister Chuck Strahl (Chilliwack—Fraser Canyon) at a rally in Mission.
Strahl provided the key note address, and took the opportunity to praise the record of his colleagues.
"Randy Kamp is one of the most respected, hardest working MPs in the House of Commons,” said Strahl. “He is a trusted, diligent MP which is why the Prime Minister chose him as a Parliamentary Secretary to handle one of the most complex files in government – the west coast fishery.”
“He gets things done for the people in his riding, and that’s why, on October 14th, his constituents should re-elect him as their Member of Parliament.”
Strahl also took aim at Liberal leader Stéphane Dion and NDP leader Jack Layton, calling into question their economic plans.
“Jack Layton’s solution to global economic uncertainty is to jack taxes through the roof and go on a taxpayer funded spending spree,” said Strahl.
“The NDP fiscal plan, if you can call it that, is simply a recipe for economic disaster. And Stéphane Dion thinks now would be the perfect time to implement a permanent new tax on everything.”
“The Conservative plan is balanced, responsible and focused,” said Strahl.
“And the Prime Minister is providing the forward looking economic leadership that Canadians want and need.”
