WHAT A DIVE. Hats off
to all those brave Polar Bears who ventured and dove into the
frozen waters of the Indian River to raise money for school
charity. Sunday, February 5 was freezing cold, blizzard winds and
not exactly swimming weather, but our hearty crew made us proud
with their determination and thick skins, and not one chickened
out. Watching the Polar Bears is always a highlight for the Port
Carling Winterfest. Huge crowds lined Hanna Park while the Port
Carling Fire Department, decked out in dry suits, patrolled the
frozen waters.
