Hip-hop artist and political activist will.i.am won't be pulling a Tina Fey any time soon. The high-profile Barack Obama supporter says he's not leaving the U.S.—or the planet—if he's unhappy with the outcome of November's presidential election.

"Whether Obama's president or McCain's president, it's still important for people to be just as passionate and just as involved in moving and shaping their communities," he said last week at the SHIN restaurant grand opening. "I'm going to do that regardless of who is president. You don't just bail the f--k out."

He added, "This political cycle isn't like Christmas. On Nov. 4, it isn't like I got my presents, and now I'm not gonna pay attention anymore."

Michael Madsen Not Mad, Just Sick and Tired

Contrary to what you may have heard, Mr. Blonde did not go berserk.

Michael Madsen was not hospitalized Monday on a 5150 hold—the situation Britney Spears found herself in when she was deemed a danger to herself or others after being wheeled off to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in January—as reported Wednesday by TMZ.com, a rep for the veteran character actor tells E! News.

"Madsen just got off a plane from overseas after a grueling work schedule. He was suffering from food poisoning and extreme exhaustion and basically collapsed," rep Liza Anderson said.

"He is resting now with his family by his side."

From Toronto to Hollywood—Shenae Just Deals With It

Shenae Grimes Jeffrey Mayer/Getty Images

So your sitting in Toronto and you get a call saying you are on the new 90210...what would you do? Probably freak out!

Well that’s what happened to our Toronto girl Shenae Grimes! I still remember shopping with the starlet at Jacflash not so long ago…oh, how times have changed.

90210 of course has become a hit being picked up for a full season, which is great news since Canadians Jessica Lowndes, Dustin Milligan and Shenae are all amazingly talented and deserve the exposure that this show will defiantly give them.

I have brought this up before…but what’s up with all these Canadians taking over Hollywood? Is it the maple syrup, poutine and beaver tails? Or maybe it’s just something in the water.

E! News Weekend got a chance to sit down with Shenae this week and talked about what it was like going from Toronto to Hollywood and having to deal with everything that comes with being a huge television star.

Oprah Sued by Alleged Extorter

Here's someone who would have preferred not getting a shout-out from the Queen of Daytime.

A Louisiana man who was once accused of trying to extort money from Oprah Winfrey has filed a defamation lawsuit against the talk show host, claiming that Winfrey's allegations severely damaged his reputation.

Keifer Bonvillain, who agreed to perform 50 hours of community service, pay $3,000 in restitution and undergo drug testing in order to avoid jail time, is seeking $180 million in damages.

“I saw a McCain/Palin bumper sticker on a car, and I looked to see who was driving, and the guy was picking his nose. That’s all I got.”

Duchovny Lobs Lawsuit at Tab Over Tennis Pro Story

David Duchovny Jim Spellman/Getty Images

David Duchovny has opted to serve first.

The recently separated Californication star sued Britain's Daily Mail for defamation Wednesday over the tabloid's report last week that Duchovny cheated on his wife, Téa Leoni, with a tennis instructor.

The Mail went ahead and posted the item online despite being told "point blank" that the story was false and that the alleged object of this adulterous affection was "explicitly and specifically denying a romantic or sexual relationship with David Duchovny," according to court documents filed today in Los Angeles Superior Court. (View the lawsuit.)

"By its intentional and reckless conduct, Daily Mail has caused substantial harm to Duchovny, in complete disregard of the truth and of even a semblance of journalistic integrity," the suit states.

Afternoon Fix: Madonna Made Guy Ritchie Cry

Yesterday, Madonna and Guy Ritchie's son Rocco was photographed in Yankees gear (aka pro-A-Rod contraband). And Madge got what she wanted: Guy's over in London "crying over it." This round goes to you, M.

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson may have swam in corpse water at the Roosevelt. They are now at risk of becoming zombies.

With 13 days left until the election, things are getting pretty cah-razy on The View. Elisabeth Hasselbeck wore a McCain shirt on the show yesterday, Barbara Walters confronted her about it today, and then backstage E.H. and Joy Behar got into it.

Some more election gossip: Sarah Palin's wardrobe cost the Republicans $150,000, McCain accidentally dropped the C-word, and Obama is not that impressed with his SNL impersonator.

George Clooney is temporarily taken again, for however long that lasts.

Taylor Momsen "Beautifully" Battling Throat Infection

Taylor Momsen PacificCoastNews.com

Gossip Girl might want to take a softer tone when she blogs about Jenny's latest struggle.

E! News confirms that Taylor Momsen is battling a throat infection and has been hospitalized in Los Angeles since Sunday.

"With these kinds of infections the throat can swell and it can close up the throat to dangerous levels," Dr. Shawn Nasseri of Beverly Hills said. "But she is doing beautifully. She has pretty much made a full recovery.”

The 15-year-old actress—an excellent patient," Nasseri called her—has been responding positively to antiobiotics and other medicines and should be feeling like her old young self again in three to five days.

Which is great news in light of reports that called her condition "life-threatening."

Lil Wayne a Big Daddy

Lil' Wayne Bryan Bedder/Getty Images

An even littler Wayne has arrived.

Lil Wayne welcomed a son, Dwayne Carter III, Wednesday in Ohio, his rep tells MTV News.

The baby was born at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. Wayne, himself born Dwayne Carter Jr., also has a daughter, Reginae Carter, with ex-wife Antonia Johnson.

The platinum-selling rapper has not released the identity of Dwayne III's mom.

But 2008 continues to be a crazy momentous year for Wayne, the self-proclaimed "best rapper alive," whose highly anticipated Tha Carter III (how prescient!) went platinum in a month en route to becoming the best-selling album of the year.

On Saturday, Wayne was named MVP of the Year at the 2008 BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta, where he also took home trophies for Lyricist of the Year and for being the Alltel Wireless People's Champ. The ceremony airs Thursday on BET.

Warner Bros. Wins Marshall Suit

We Are Marshall, Matthew McConaughey Warner Bros. Entertainment

Call it the Hail Mary that wasn't.

A federal judge has ruled that Warner Bros.' 2006 pigskin drama, We Are Marshall, did not rip off the 2000 Emmy-winning sports documentary Ashes to Glory: The Tragedy and Triumph of Marshall Football.

Deborah Novak and John Witek produced the latter, which chronicled the tragic 1970 airplane crash that killed 37 members of Marshall University's football team and the school's remarkable efforts the following year to rebuild the program.

The pair filed a $40 million copyright infringement lawsuit alleging Warners lifted material from Ashes for its own McG-directed flick starring Matthew McConaughey—after talks fell through for the studio to purchase rights to their doc. (View the court documents.)
