Why register?

There are numerous online forms on the CIPO site that allow clients to file applications and related correspondence for the protection of intellectual property rights.

Note: Online form user name and password are encrypted before they are sent to CIPO.

New clients

New clients must create a username and password prior to accessing these online forms by first signing in to the Industry Canada secure server.

Regular clients

Regular clients who need to update their Industry Canada registration, or who have forgotten their username or password should visit Industry Canada registration.
