Thane Stenner
Thane Stenner is managing director, private client, founder of Stenner Investment Partners of GMP Private Client LP.
Bio:

Thane Stenner has more than 20 years experience in successfully advising ultra-high net worth families, entrepreneurs, and corporate and philanthropic entities. He has been an investor for over 30 years and is the author of True Wealth: An expert guide for high net-worth individuals (and their advisors).

He is the founder of Stenner Investment Partners, an independent private family office group within Richardson GMP Ltd., based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He is a managing director of the private client group.

Thane has previously held positions at CIBC World Markets and Merrill Lynch. He has also been awarded the designation of Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) – the highest designation in the Canadian Investment industry – and was the original chairperson of their National Ethics Committee.

In addition to graduating with an honors degree in finance and a specialization in investment analysis and portfolio management, Thane attended the Harvard Business School’s Executive Program. He is also a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA), and holds the Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) designation.

Thane has been active in the community through professional associations, and various boards and charitable organizations such as the Greater Vancouver YMCA, the UBC Business Families Centre’s Professional Advisory Committee, and the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
