Dec. 4 is CBC Open House & Food Bank Day

6,000 CBC/Radio-Canada fans attended our Open House and $568,607 raised for the Food Bank on Friday, December 4, 2009

Open House and Food Bank Day

On Friday, December 4 from 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. CBC/Radio-Canada Vancouver opened its doors and welcomed 6,000 CBC/Radio-Canada fans who visited our newly renovated, state-of-the-art broadcast centre at 700 Hamilton Street and took part in our annual Food Bank Day Fundraiser.

There were live TV and Radio broadcasts, and fans met CBC News TV, CBC Radio, Radio-Canada and CBC Radio 3 personalities and staff, toured the building, and enjoyed four Big Ticket Concerts throughout the day. All our local and regional shows were broadcasting special live programs to help inspire your generosity towards those who need the services B.C. food banks provide.

Food Bank volunteers were ready all day accepting donations at pledge stations located throughout the broadcast centre.
