In accordance the Export and Import Permits Act, the Export and Import Controls Bureau is responsible for issuing permits and certificates for various products included on the Export Control List (ECL).
Products subject to export controls include Military and Strategic Goods and Technology, Softwood Lumber, Firearms, Textiles and Clothing, Sugar and Sugar Containing Products, Peanut Butter, Logs and U.S.-Origin Goods and Technology.
