TransAlta Grandstand Show

Every year the Calgary Stampede presents a new entertainment extravaganza in the TransAlta Grandstand Show. Even the stage is an engineering marvel, towed into place when the chuckwagons have crossed their final finish line. The show features elaborate song and dance numbers, comedy, daring acrobatics, music and a heavenly fireworks finale: TransAlta Lights Up The Night. It’s a show that puts a wondrous exclamation point on your Stampede!

The Calgary Stampede presents the  2012 TransAlta Grandstand Show, Century featuring Paul Brandt and starring The Young Canadians.

In celebration of our Centennial, the Calgary Stampede is pleased to present an all-new TransAlta Grandstand Show – Century – featuring Canadian country superstar Paul Brandt.

Century is a fast-paced show dominated by popular songs from the past 100 years. It builds to an amazing fireworks finale, set off from a three-storey tall birthday cake arriving on stage via a big-rig convoy lead by country music superstar Paul Brandt. As the headliner, Brandt will perform a set each night and star alongside The Young Canadians throughout the show.

The most awarded male Canadian country music artist in history, Brandt returns to the Stampede, where he launched his career after winning the 1992 Calgary Stampede Talent Search.

Don’t miss out on this historic show. Advance tickets are now sold out, but a limited number of tickets for each night's performance will go on sale that day at 11 a.m. Click here for tickets.
