The Bank of Canada is committed to the security of your private data. We want to ensure each organization receives its Employee Payroll Data File in the most secure manner possible.
Below you will find a link to download a test version of the Employee Payroll Data File. Organizations are encouraged to do this every year, prior to campaign.
Most organizations have no problem downloading the Employee Payroll Data File, but to ensure the file is properly downloaded before the Payroll Savings Program sales campaign begins, we have designed a test that verifies this functionality.
The Employee Payroll Data File is an electronic file that contains your employees' personal data. Organizations enrolled in the Payroll Savings Program must download the file from the Campaign Statistics web page (https://www.e-campaign.csb.gc.ca/statistics) to update their payroll systems soon after the Payroll Savings Program sales campaign ends. The file provides all of the information necessary to synchronize payroll deductions and employee contributions.
Each organization's Employee Payroll Data File will be located on https://www.e-campaign.csb.gc.ca/statistics and will be ready for downloading in early November.
You should download the test file prior to the beginning of the sales campaign in October. If you have difficulties, your computer configuration may require changes to its web browser or firewall.
Organizations that have successfully downloaded in the past occasionally run into problems in subsequent years because of changes to their technical environment. Therefore, even if you have been successful in the past, you are encouraged to redo the test by mid-September each year.
The person who will download the actual Employee Payroll Data File at the end of the campaign should do the test using the same computer that will be used in November. (During the troubleshooting process, it may be necessary to test the download using other computers.)
Note that the process will vary slightly depending on your operating system, browser, and environment.
Successful! - When you open the Zip file, you will see a message congratulating you on your successful download test. This is good news - it means you're all done!
Unsuccessful - If the dialogue box does not appear within one minute, if you get error messages, or if you have trouble unzipping the file, then the test is unsuccessful. Please consult the Troubleshooting Guide.
