Canadian Automated Export Declaration (CAED)

Logo: Canadian Automated Export Declaration (CAED)

Statistics Canada and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) launched the national implementation of the Canadian Automated Export Declaration (CAED) program, which gives registered exporters and agents the opportunity to report goods electronically to the Federal Government of Canada.

This program was launched on January 1st, 1998, and is a fast, inexpensive and easy way of reporting your exported goods.

The Canada Border Services Agency is updating regulatory requirements to mandate export reporting. Effective April 1, 2012, the CBSA will take steps to eliminate the manual reporting process form (B13A) for exporters and implement mandatory electronic reporting. For more information on Canada Border Service Agency’s mandatory electronic reporting, please visit the CBSA's Frequently Asked Questions page.
