To operate an incorporated business in Nova Scotia, you must apply through the Registry of Joint Stock Companies.

You will need:

  • An approved business name for which you may have to pay a name search fee
  • Completed incorporation forms, obtainable through a lawyer or some private sector firms
  • To pay an application fee of $308.71
  • To pay a registration fee of $108.62

Your incorporation certificate and business number will be sent to you by mail within 5 to 10 days of approval.
