Yesterday / Today

The official publisher for the Government of Canada was established in 1886 and is the representative of the Queen's Printer for Canada.

Since that time, we have published priced documents in print, Braille, and large-print formats and on a variety of subjects, such as health, finance, science and education. These publications include books, serials, monographs, maps, pamphlets and information kits.

Today, our range of publishing formats includes online publishing and electronic publications (CD-ROMs, diskettes, etc.).

We are highly skilled, publishing professionals who can manage a publication from its initial concept to the final product in the customer's hands.

Our expertise includes knowledge of:

  • In-house publishing and co-publishing with private-sector publishers and university presses
  • Design and illustration
  • Printing
  • Order processing and fulfillment, warehousing and distribution
