The OPME Programme has concluded on 30 April 2013. Please refer to CANFORGEN 218/12 and CANFORGEN 067/13 for further details.

The Canadian Armed Forces Junior Officer Development (CAFJOD) Programme supersedes and replaces the OPME Programme.

Programme description, calendar and registration for CAFJOD modules are available on the CFLRS website.

Maj Mike Fink-Jensen, CDA HQ will respond to questions relating to the new CAFJOD Programme that are not addressed in the CANFORGEN. He can be reached by email or by telephone at 613-541-5010, extension 3867.

For those students who have already started, or who plan to start, an undergraduate degree with RMCC or some other university, RMCC’s Division of Continuing Studies will continue to offer, at least once per year and with normal course fees, the four university-level courses that were part of the OPME Programme. These courses are:

  • HIE208: Canadian Military History: A Study in War and Military History, 1867 to Present
  • HIE275: Survey of Technology, Society and Warfare
  • POE206: The Canadian Forces and Modern Society; Civics, Politics and International Relations
  • PSE402: Leadership and Ethics
