Film or television development loans

As a Nova Scotia resident, you can apply for an interest-free loan of up to 50% of your film or television production development budget, to a maximum of $15,000.

The money is available only once per production, and must be used for expenses related to the initial development stages of your project including:

• Scriptwriting
• Pre-casting
• Producer's fees
• Milestones such as the preparation of a marketing plan, final budget or shooting script

Development loans are interest-free and repayable.
