Notice – New CIC Telephone Service for Live-in Caregivers

August 27, 2010 — Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) wants safe and informed live-in caregivers. That is why we are pleased to let live-in caregivers working in Canada know about an improved telephone service available to them, through CIC’s main telephone line. Dial 1-888-242 2100, choose your language, then dial 1, then 1, then 4, working through the prompts, to speak to an expert on the Live-in Caregiver Program.

Caregivers can talk to someone to learn more about the general requirements of the Live-in Caregiver Program.

Caregivers who face abuse, intimidation or threats in their current jobs should call to find out what help CIC can provide.
