In expeditionary operations, a task force comprises all the Canadian Armed Forces personnel and assets committed to a specific mission and operating in a specific area of responsibility.
Task forces are selected, organized, equipped and trained for their missions by the Canadian Army, the Royal Canadian Navy and the Royal Canadian Air Force, which are therefore referred to as “
