Information for Foreign Governments

The Department of National Defence pursues international materiel cooperation activities with Allies and defence partners as an important component of Canada’s international defence relationships, as well as a means to enhance interoperability and ensure the efficient delivery of the defence materiel acquisition and support program.

National Defence international materiel cooperation activities are often conducted under the auspices of bilateral or multilateral Defence Materiel Cooperation Memoranda of Understanding (MoU). These MOUs are practical documents designed to facilitate the development of joint common equipment requirements, the provision of mutual logistic and materiel support, and the exchange of defence technical, operational and equipment-related information, materiel and personnel.

If you represent a foreign government and would like to collaborate with National Defence on defence equipment and supply activities, please contact the International and Industry Programs Division at DGIIP@forces.gc.ca or the Canadian Defence Attaché accredited to your country.
