Funded projects in your community

With the funding support from the Government of Canada, many community projects related to the commemoration of the War of 1812 provide opportunities for Canadians to learn more about the conflict and better understand the importance of this War in our history.

A New Free Attraction Commemorating the War of 1812 Opens at Canada Place

“We are excited to celebrate the 200th anniversary of this major milestone on Canada’s road to becoming an independent country,” explains Andrew Mann, President and COO, Canada Place Corporation. “Thanks to the generous support of the Department of Canadian Heritage and our federal partners, we can share this new attraction with the millions of visitors who come to Canada Place to experience the history and culture of our great nation.”
