AANDC is working with the Province of Saskatchewan, Public Safety Canada, Health Canada, the RCMP and other relevant agencies to ensure First Nations are prepared for potential flooding this spring. Specifically, AANDC works with First Nations vulnerable to flooding to determine their needs, develop work plans and fund preparedness measures.
The following table provides information on flood preparedness support in Saskatchewan First Nations.

Saskatchewan Watershed Authority | $ 1,100,000 | Equipment and supplies: steamers, sandbags, pump, hoses, generators to keep water moving, etc. These supplies are ready to use and are currently being dispatched to the communities as requested. |
