Good food and nutrition are vital to health and well being. Traditional foods like moose stew, arctic char, blueberries, wild rice and bannock are all healthy, nutritious food choices. The Canada Food Guide for First Nations, Inuit and Métis   offers recommendations for healthy eating that recognize the importance of both traditional and store-bought foods for Aboriginal people.
