Diamond Mining

• 2008 NWT Diamonds    : A report published by the Mining Association of Canada in cooperation with the Northwest Territories and Nunavut Chamber of Mines, providing analysis of the effects of the diamond industry on the economic and social performance of the Northwest Territories.
• Diamonds: Adding Lustre to the Canadian economy  : A 2004 article from Statistics Canada about diamonds in Canada.
• The Value Added Aspects of the Canadian Diamond Industry    : A 1998 report by the Federal-Territorial Committee on Value-Added Aspects of the Canadian Diamond Industry based on committee examinations of trade policy, taxation, access to rough diamonds, training, the role of financial institutions and security.
• The Independent Review of the BHP Process: A 1997 review of the regulatory and negotiated processes that led to the final approval of the diamond mine proposed by BHP Diamonds Inc. (BHP) in the Lac de Gras area of the Northwest Territories (the "BHP process").

• NRCan's compendium of 16 case studies on Aboriginal engagement in the mining and energy sectors   illustrates the mutual benefits of investing in stronger relationships and partnerships between governments, Aboriginal peoples, and industry.
• Aboriginal Communities, Mineral Companies, Governments Working Together is a checklist developed in 2006 by the Sub-Committee of the Intergovernmental Working Group on the Mineral Industry to assist mineral companies active in areas near Aboriginal communities.
