Electronic Service Delivery

As part of the government on-line initiative, Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada has introduced a number of fully interactive web-based tools.

Economic Development

  • Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business (PSAB)

The federal government launched the Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business (PSAB) to help Aboriginal firms do more contracting with all our departments and agencies.
  • The Project Information Management System (PIMS)

The Project Information Management System (PIMS) tracks proposals that are in progress or have been accepted or rejected, and allows the user to document justification for each assessment decision. Thus, AANDC officials can inform interested parties and stakeholders on the status of their proposal at any stage of the assessment process. The people most likely to work with PIMS are the economic development officers.

Education

  • Aboriginal Bursaries Search Tool

This electronic guide facilitates eligible Aboriginal students to quickly access a national directory comprising of organizations and institutions that offer more than 750 awards, totalling more than $2.5 million.

First Nation Profiles

  • First Nation Profiles (FNP)

The First Nation Profile Site allows quick and easy access to current national First Nation community profiles. Profiles include information of general interest about the First Nation, the First Nation's government, Tribal Councils and reserves.
  • First Nation Profiles Interactive Map

Use the interactive map to get First Nation community information, including links to First Nation community websites, First Nation Profiles and Aboriginal Canada Portal.

Infrastructure and Housing

  • Housing & Infrastructure Assets

Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada has deployed into production the new Integrated Capital Management System (ICMS). The web-enabled ICMS was developed to support improved Community Infrastructure data collection and to replace the Housing and Infrastructure Assets Website (H&IA) and the Capital Asset Management System (CAMS).

Please be advised that the Housing and Infrastructure Assets (H&IA) Website is no longer available for updates. The 2007/2008 Housing and Infrastructure Assets data is now collected through the Integrated Capital Management System. For further information, please contact your regional housing representative.
