The Prime Minister's Volunteer Awards recognize the exceptional contributions of volunteers, local businesses and innovative not-for-profit organizations in improving the well-being of families and their communities. There are 17 awards in total, 2 at the national level and 15 at the regional level. The awards highlight best practices in community leadership and encourage partnerships across sectors. [More]
The Prime Minister's Awards for Excellence in Early Childhood Education honour outstanding and innovative early childhood educators who excel at fostering the early development and socialization of the children in their care, and at helping build the foundation children need to meet life's challenges. Certificates of Excellence are awarded to the 10 top-ranked nominees, with at least one award designated for each of the following regions: British Columbia, the Prairies, Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada.
