Basic Military Officer Qualification

The Basic Military Officer Qualification (BMOQ) is the basic training course for Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) officers. The BMOQ for Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP) – Military Colleges is 11-week long while for Direct Entry Officer and ROTP – Civilian Universities, the course is 15-week long. The BMOQ course provides the core skills and the common military knowledge required to succeed in a military environment.

The Canadian Armed Forces Junior Officer Development (CAFJOD) Programme exposes Junior Officers to a general and standardized body of foundational knowledge through seven Distance Learning modules:

Registration for CAFJOD Modules will open 60 days before the course start date. The registration window will last 30 days. To register to a module, go to the Defence Learning Network (DLN) on the Intranet - internal site. To register to the French modules, first change the language of the page.

You will be sent to the nomination offering on the Defence Learning Network (DLN).
