Canadian Forces Dental Services

Vision

The Canadian Forces Dental Services (CFDS), building upon our proud heritage, will be universally recognized as a premier military dental service capable of providing full spectrum dental care whose progressive actions will directly contribute to CF operational readiness and quality of life.

Mission

To enable the CF to fulfill its operational role, the CFDS will provide high quality, operationally focused dental care, at home and abroad, which establishes and sustains a high state of readiness and is both consistent with the scope of dentistry available to the Canadian population and appropriate to the needs of the member.

Core Values Charter

We the members of the Canadian Forces Dental Services are committed and dedicated to the Core Values of Honour, Courage, and Excellence to guide us in all endeavours and continue to build the foundation of trust between us, our patients, and the Canadian Forces. All military and civilian members of the CFDS must fully understand, embrace, and live by our Core Values. For nearly 100 years our Dental Corps has steadfastly carried out our mission, during both war and peace, of conserving manpower and ensuring operational readiness by providing exemplary dental health care when and where it was needed. We stand ready today to continue that tradition. We will be faithful to our Core Values as our abiding duty and privilege.
