The new facility can handle the largest of the west coast cruise ships, making Nanaimo a more attractive destination for the international cruise industry.

Thanks to the Infrastructure Stimulus Fund the city of Nanaimo, British Columbia, was able to build one of the most innovative and modern cruise ship terminal facilities on the west coast of North America.

With the arrival of each cruise ship, downtown Nanaimo comes alive. This new facility, with a welcome area and visitor centre, has given the local tourism industry a boost.
