CELEBRATION 2013

110 YEARS OF MILITARY COMMUNICATIONS

We belong to the oldest Signals community in the Commonwealth. As the Canadian Forces primary communicators, we are among the best-trained and most respected military communicators in the world. The 24th of October 2013 will mark the 110th Anniversary of the formation of the Canadian Signalling Corps (Militia), and this gives us a unique opportunity to celebrate 110 years of military communications.

The main Celebration 2013 activities will take place in Kingston, Ontario. A variety of events are planned from the 24 – 27 Oct 2013. During these activities, Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal, The Princess Anne Colonel-in-Chief of the C&E Branch will honour our Branch with a presentation of her Royal Banner. The presentation of a Royal Banner is of great significance within the militaries of the Commonwealth Nations.

The success of these events is highly dependant on the contributions and participation of members across the breadth of the C & E community, both serving and retired. Come out and support your Branch in making this historic celebration a memorable one. Schedule of the events can be found at Celebration 2013.
