Consumer Association Roundtable
The purpose of the Consumer Association Roundtable is to provide a forum for dialogue between the federal government and Canadian consumers through an ongoing exchange with key consumer associations.
Members of the Roundtable discuss, and provide input to, food safety and other topics related to CFIA priorities, policies, programs and services that benefit from consumer input.
The Roundtable will meet face-to-face a minimum of two times a year and will also meet as required. The CFIA will provide feedback to members on the outcomes for policies, programs or services for which the Roundtable provided input.
The CFIA will always retain final decision-making authority and responsibilities.
