  1. SSU (CENTRAL) DET OTTAWA has a Class B Temporary for a Capt/Capt MOS ID/Occupation 90024-GSO to commence on 18-NOV-2013 until 17-NOV-2014. Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Regular Force, Primary Reserve Force.
  2. Essential requirements are as fols:
    1. Rank: Capt/Capt
      Capt. Maj who are willing to relinquish their rank and Lt may apply but will only be considered should no candidate at the Capt rank apply and be found suitable
    2. MOS ID: 90024-GSO
      Preferred candidates will be from the following MOSIDs: LOG 00328-01
    3. Language: Bilingual
    4. Security clearance: Secret
    5. Health: BE MED/DENT FIT
    6. Physical fitness: MUST BE PHYSICALLY FIT

      • Competency Remarks:

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic:
    • a. have a great interest with regard to personnel management.

      b. as a Formation Admin O, the candidate should be in position to direct and control the overall administrations of CFSSG military personnel.
  4. Basic description of duties: a. provide advice to the Formation Comd and DComd on administrative issues;

    b. provide military personnel administration services;

    c. perform financial management;

    d. perform business planning and budget management;

    e. prepare and maintain Formation Administrative Orders;

    f. prepare and maintain Formation Standing Orders;

    g. liaise with SSU clerical personnel on manners related to administration and finance when required;

    h. liaise with B/W/G administrative staff in support of SSU detachments when required;

    i. ensure provision of Formation records management;

    j. assist with any tasks related to the DND-SSC transition as required;

    k. prepare and communicate procedures of CF Performance Appraisal System Process; and

    l. act on behalf of the A/DComd.
