  1. CFD has a Class B Permanent for a Maj/Maj MOS ID/Occupation 90024-GSO to commence on 14-DEC-2013 until 14-MAY-2014. Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force.

    1. Rank: Maj/Maj
      Capt/Lt(N) qualified for promotion and LCol/Cdr who are willing to relinquish their rank may apply but will only be considered if no qualified Maj/LCdr is found suitable.   3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic:
    • a. experience as a Staff Officer in NDHQ, Formation HQ or in an Operational or Joint HQ

      b. proficiency in written and verbal communications, and staff duties

      c. experience in the analysis of requirements, document writing, conduct of briefings to senior leadership

      d. knowledge of DND/CF projects and the project development cycle

      e. knowledge of HQ operations, functions and governance

      f. knowledge of problem solving and analytical procedures to develop solutions to complex problems

      g. knowledge and experience with MS Office Suite with skills in producing Excel spreadsheets, graphs, charts, tables and PowerPoint presentations

      h. ability to work as a team member or team leader and in dealing effectively with all levels of military and public service employees
  4. Basic description of duties: a. working in a dynamic, stimulating and fast-paced environment as a team lead or active member of a team responsible for the conducting of force development activities and oversight focusing on the integration of future CF capabilities, in particuler joint initiatives and projects

    b. providing analysis and recommendations for the integrating of the strategic direction resulting from strategic review and transformation initiatives and reports into capability plans and management

    c. working independently to meet specifically assigned deliverables and deadlines

    d. conducting research and analysis in various force development subject related areas
