How does Canada Post get my name and address?

We compile name and address information from internal and external sources:

• Residential and Business addresses, and business names, are sourced from Canada Post's operational mail delivery database – this database exists to ensure all mail gets delivered accurately and efficiently.
• Consumer names are sourced through publically available telephone directories published by Canada’s 14 telephone companies and third-party privacy compliant lists.
