April 30 is the deadline for filing your income tax return. Here are some tips:

  • Get tax forms, guides and return envelopes at your local Post Office.
  • Affix sufficient postage; postage varies by size, weight and mailing options.
  • Place a return address on return envelopes and packages.
  • Ensure items are well sealed.
  • Don’t forget to attach your mail-in label to the return envelope.

How much postage do I need when using Lettermail service?

Lettermail™ postage depends on size (length, width, thickness) and weight.

Postage will depend on the number of pages within your envelope. To ensure you have sufficient postage, use the guidelines below, but visit your nearest Post Office to be sure. Items with insufficient postage will be returned to sender.

If sufficient postage (stamp or meter impression) is affixed to your income tax return, deposit it in a street letter box, at any Post Office or community mailbox.
